Back from portrait shoot in Nashville!!

I'm back home from my weekend trip to Nashville, yeah! I didn't get into Nashville until late night on Friday, then we shot most fo the day Saturday, and I took off Sunday afternoon to come back home....so I really didn't get much time to explore the city! Bummer! I couldn't believe how nice the weather was. I half expected it to be raining or cold, and in turned out to be neither! The weather was actually nicer than good ol southern California, although a bit more humid. But it was a good trip and I had fun...and now I can say I have been to Nashville!

So now on to the good stuff! I have to say that the locations we went for the shoot were absolutely fantastic. The area fit the theme we were after perfectly, and the late afternoon light was amazing. Check out some of my favorite shots below:

Manhattan Beach, CA 4/14/07

It's been a long and busy weekend but I managed to get through my images from yesterdays wedding with Rob Holley. It was a beautiful day for a wedding....the lighting was near perfect and we got some great shots. Check out some photos!

Ok, I must say that this had to be THE BEST first dance i have ever seen! Mark rocked the dance floor with an awesome opening dance. He had some of the best moves I have seen and everyone was shocked....he even busted out the splits, I was seriously impressed. He ended the dance with a spin and a kiss:

Well after a week of vacation and a trip to Vegas I am back home and back to work. This weekend I am shooting another wedding with Rob Holley who I always learn so much from. When I first got started in wedding photography, Rob was kind enough to take me in and teach me all about it. Every time I work with him I learn something new, which is so important in this industry. You can never know enough or stop learning...technology is always changing and the market is getting so competitive that you really need to be on top of your game to be successful.

So next weekend I have an engagement shoot then the weekend after that I am headed out to Nashville for a portrait shoot! I am so excited because I have never been to Nashville and I hear it's awesome. I'll be sure to post some pics of the trip when I get back.

Palos Verdes, CA 3/31/07

Back at it again....this time with an awesome couple from San Diego. Carey and Jose were referred to me through a mutual friend......thanks Melissa! This was a very fun and laid back wedding. Carey and Jose were super easy to work with. The ceremony was held at a very sentimental location in Palos Verdes, and the reception was at the Coast Long Beach Hotel. Check out some photos:
